Director and writer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is celebrating the remarkable success of his film 12th Fail alongside the actual UPSC students from Drishti IAS. These students portrayed themselves in the movie, creating an authentic and naturalistic atmosphere in the crowded streets of Mukherjee Nagar. Their genuine performances have been a standout feature of the film.
12th Fail has become a collective triumph for the nation. To honor the students' contributions, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and actor Vikrant Massey will attend a special event in New Delhi. This evening will recognize the pivotal role played by these real-life students.
Vidhu Vinod Chopra expressed his gratitude, saying, "On May 18th, I have the privilege of thanking the team that made 12th Fail feel so real. People often asked about the background actors in Mukherjee Nagar they looked authentic because they were not actors but actual students and staff from Drishti!" He also extended his heartfelt thanks to Vikas Divyakirti and his team, Abhishek and Gaurav. He said that they never broke character, never looked into the camera, and were always punctual. He even went on to say that their professionalism matched that of the director's own crew.
