Actress Sharmin Segal who played the role of Alamzeb in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar has finally broken her silence on trolling and criticism that she has been facing. In an interview with News18, Sharmin said that people tend to fixate on the negatives and said that due to this it is not interesting enough to talk about positives.

Sharmin Segal talks about getting trolled for the Alamzeb role
Sharmin Segal said that she had given all to Alamzeb's character. She said that people tend to fixate on the negatives but there are so many positives that have also come along. She said that it is perhaps not interesting enough to talk about positives and we tend to look over them to some degree. She continued saying that there was a point when she was not looking at many things [reviews] but then slowly realized that she was missing out on a lot of love that she was getting. She said that she has now started paying attention to that and decided to look through it all.

Sharmin Segal, who is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's niece spoke about constructive criticism and said that there is a whole range of feedback that's what happens when one puts themselves out there as an artist or an actor. She said that it was actually quite nice to hear all sides of things and it is an inevitability. She said that opinions shape one as an actor and a human being. She even continued saying that these are actual humans responding to an actor and it makes them realize how many people reach out to them. She said that opinions are very important.
