Himani Shivpuri's shocking revelations on #MeToo accused Alok Nath, 'He was drunk and out of control...'

Alok Nath, the Bollywood actor known for playing the sweet and sanskari fathers on screen, has been in the spotlight for serious allegations in the past. During the #MeToo movement in 2018-19, several women accused him of sexual harassment. This included writer and producer Vinta Nanda, who claimed Nath had abused her for nearly two decades. Other actors, Navneet Nishan and Sandhya Mridul, also accused him of harassment, adding to the troubling accusations. Nath's conduct was also questioned by someone from the team of the film "Hum Saath Saath Hain." Now, actress Himani Shivpuri has added new concerns about Nath.

In an interaction with Siddharth Kannan on his podcast, she shared her own experiences working with him. Himani Shivpuri, who worked with Nath in several films during the 1990s and 2000s, highlighted a drastic change in his behaviour when he drank alcohol.

The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress described how Alok Nath would turn into a completely different person after drinking alcohol. Himani revealed, "I have done a lot of work with him in the past and the thing with him is that when he is not drinking, then he is sanskari. His personality was like that of Jekyll and Hyde."

In the same interview, Himari also mentioned another troubling experience. She said that at an award event, Nath's wife had to frequently remind him to stay composed because he was visibly drunk and unruly. "Apart from one incident in the National School of Drama (NSD), I have never faced any problem with him. But I would hear from people that he was a different person after a few drinks. In fact, I had once witnessed it. He was drunk and out of control while we were travelling for an award show, and his wife kept asking him to be calm. Even I asked him to get a grip on himself or else he would be deplaned. He was deplaned once in the past because of his behaviour."

Further, the actress stated that on set, Alok Nath would have been very quiet and professional. However, the moment it's 8 pm, the veteran actor would turn into something else.
