Sajid Khan gets candid about life post MeToo allegations
In an interview with entertainment news section of Hindustan Times, Sajid Khan said that the past few years post MeToo allegations were quite tough for him. So much so that he even contemplated suicide. "I thought of ending my life many times in the last 6 years. It's been extremely bad, in the sense that I've been out of work. Despite getting a clearance from Indian Film and Television Directors Association (IFTDA)," he was quoted saying when asked about last six years since the allegations. He also mentioned that he had to sell his house and move to a rented apartment as he was out of work.
In the same interview, he also spoke about being brash in the past and blunt personality impacting his career. He said, "Because I was so brash, I rubbed people the wrong way. I would apologise whenever I realised it, but when work stops, you start questioning your life. I've mellowed down. I just want to work to survive now." He also revealed that he chose to stay silent over everything as his mother taught him that 'silence is golden'.
Sajid Khan was a part of Bigg Boss 16. A lot of commotion took place when he entered the controversial show. A lot of viewers weren't happy with him being a part of the show due to allegations against him. However, he won hearts with his bonding with mandali members like Abdu Rozik, Shiv Thakare and others.
