The buzz around Sajid Nadiadwala's much-awaited Sikandar, which features starring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles, continues to grow by the day. On March 23, the makers finally unveiled the film's trailer, and as expected, it was an instant hit with the fans. The action-packed trailer have left fans and critics both happy and impressed, and they can't wait to see Salman back in action. During the trailer launch of Sikandar, Salman Khan clearly owned the moment as he shared a BIG reaction to the paparazzi's question about the Eid release. His reply left fans in awe.

Salman Khan was questioned about Sikandar which will hit theatres on Eid. In his reply, Salman laughed and said, "Eid, Diwali, New Year, festive, non-festive, it's the love of the people and picture achi ho ya buri ho, wo sau (Rs 100 crore) toh paar kara hi dete hain."

He further added, "Rs 100 crore bohot pehle ki baat hain, ab Rs 200 crore (Rs 100 crore is a thing of the past.. Now it is all about earning Rs 200 crore)"

Is Sikandar a remake of Vijay's Sarkar?

There has been enough discussion around Salman Khan's Sikandar being a remake of Vijay's Sarkar. Interestingly, some feel it is inspired by Prashanth Neel's Prabhas-starrer Salaar. Director AR Murugadoss has confirmed that the film offers an original story and is not a remake of any film.

"This is a completely original story. Every scene, every frame of Sikandar has been designed and executed with authenticity, offering a fresh narrative and experience. It's not a remake or adaptation of any existing film," Murugadoss said.

"An essential part of the film's originality is its stunning background score, crafted by the immensely talented Santosh Narayanan. His music perfectly complements the film's energetic tone and vibrant visuals, adding an emotional depth that enhances every scene," he added.

Sikandar to release on Eid

Salman's Sikandar will be released in theatres on Eid 2025. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal in a pivotal role. Sikandar has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Salman Khan has been winning hearts with all its impressive songs that were released recently. But the AR Murugadoss directorial is being slammed on social media users as they feel that a sequence from song Zohra Jabeen has been lifted from a Bangladeshi film. A post on X had compared the track from Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, with a song featuring Bangladeshi actor Shakib Khan. This has left the netizens divided.
