The terrorist attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam town has sent shock waves across nation. As per reports, around 28 tourists have been killed in the gruesome attack and many have been injured. On social media, videos of the victims of the attack have gone viral leaving everyone in a state of shock. Many including Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condemned the attack. Among Bollywood celebrities, Akshay Kumar and others have also condemned the attack.
Kesari Chapter 2 actor Akshay Kumar took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to write, "Horrified to know of the terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam. Sheer evil to kill innocent people like this. Prayers for their families." Sanjay Dutt penned a note stating that terrorists killed people in cold blood and the act should not be forgiven. He also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh to give them justice. Sonu Sood also took to social media and called it a cowardly attack on innocent people. He wrote, "Strongly condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on innocent tourists in Kashmir's #Pahalgam. Terrorism should not have any place in a civilized world and this dastardly act is unacceptable. My deepest condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayers for early recovery of those who are injured. Om Sai ram." Anupam Kher shared a video stating that he is speechless. Laughter Chefs star Elvish Yadav too condemned the attack.

As per the reports, the attack took place at around 2.30 pm on Tuesday. A group of terrorists opened fire on tourists at Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam.
