In a message on X (formerly known as Twitter), he wrote that Akshay should get his fans to send good wishes for Kannappa and he will bring blessings of Mahadev for movie Maa. To this, Ajay Devgn had the best reaction. He too cheered for good friend Akshay Kumar's movie and wrote, "Tu Trishul leke aa aur main Maa ka aashirwad Good luck to us both...'.

Talking about Kannappa, Vishnu Machu in leading role. The supporting cast includes, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji and others. Akshay Kumar will be seen in a cameo and will be portraying the role of Lord Shiva.

On the other hand, Maa starring Kajol in the lead is a horror film. Directed by Vishal Furia, it is about a mother who turns Goddess Kali to fight the demon's curse.
