Vijay's Tamil Nadu rally turns deadly: A huge campaign rally by Tamil actor-turned-politician Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) turned deadly on Saturday, September 27. In the evening, the sudden increase in the number of people who attended it led to massive chaos. This left 31 dead and about 40 injured in Karur district in the western part of the state.
