Sumona Chakravarti REVEALS she did not exit Kapil Sharma's The Great Indian Kapil Show by choice; says she is upset

Popular television actress Sumona Chakravarty was an important part of comedian Kapil Sharma's comedy show. Well, the actress who has participated in Rohit Shetty's adventurous show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 14 spoke her heart out about not being cast in The Great Indian Kapil Show. Sumona said that she was taken aback when Kapil did not approach her for the Netflix comedy show. Well, the actress has worked with Kapil for 10 years and was part of Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. But, Kapil did not rope in Sumona when he returned with The Great Indian Kapil Show.

Sumona Chakravarty reveals she did not exit by choice

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Sumona said that she was shocked and angry when she was not approached by Kapil for his show. Well, an insider claimed that Sumona is still upset with Kapil as after Sunil Grover agreed to work with him, he approached Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek, but not her.

Sumona said that she had expected that the entire cast would be retained for the digital version of the show, but she did not get any call from Kapil. The insider also said that Sumona always thought that the jokes in her dialogue delivery and style were limited to having fun on the show, but she never thought that this would go beyond that. Sumona seems to be angry with what happened as it affected the casting process. But, the actress has chosen to be silent and not talk about it.

Sumona did not exit the show by choice and it triggers her more and acts as a rubbing salt in the wound. She is always asked about her absence from Kapil's show. Sumona has no grudge against Kapil, but the two did not speak post that.
