Raghav Juyal and Harshvardhan Rane break silence on Babil Khan's video; reveal he had an anxiety attack

Late actor Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan left fans concerned on Sunday after he shared a video of himself on his Instagram Stories where he said Bollywood is 'screwed'. He also named Bollywood celebrities including Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, and Siddhant Chaturvedi among others. Babil's video has been going viral on social media. In an interview with Subhash K Jha, Raghav Juyal revealed that he spoke to Babil's mother after the video went viral. He said, "I can't understand why he spoke like this. If you've seen my Instagram posts, I've always been very supportive. He is obviously very disturbed. I spoke to his mother, Sutapa ma'am, and she said he was going through an anxiety attack. He is in Hyderabad. He was supposed to start shooting tomorrow. Now he is coming home. He needs to rest; he needs to understand that we are all here for him."

Raghav further continued saying, "Siddhant Chaturvedi, whom Babil also named, called me and said there had been a mix-up. Babil meant to say that I and some others had been supportive, while some had been rude. It came out all mixed up. He should not have been allowed to speak. We are all with Babil. But the struggle is his own. He needs to come to terms with the ground reality. He has his father's legacy to carry forward, but he should not be weighed down by it. Nor should he expect support or help from anyone."

On the other hand, Harshvardhan Rane also spoke about the video and told Babil to stay away from alcohol and any such stuff. Harshvardhan said, "Dear Babil Khan, you're blessed with God level genetics in acting, we need you to carry on the legacy! Please just give your best to the craft and after that 'stay away from the events and after parties', so as to avoid interaction with irritants."

He continued saying, "I am not from a film family. I have learnt that people won't treat you badly if you don't allow them. You need to 'stand your ground.' also please 'stay away from alcohol and any such stuff', because to stand tall you will need strength. Please take care."

In the video, Babil got emotional as he said, "Bollywood is so f****d. Bollywood is so, so rude. "What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and even... Arijit Singh? There are so, so many more names." He deleted the video later along with his Instagram page. Now, his family released an official statement that read, "In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry."

Babil is the son of Irrfan and Sutapa Sikdar. He made his acting debut in Hindi cinema with Qala (2022) and was last seen in Logout, which was released on ZEE5.
