Gadar star Sunny Deol, on July 11, 2025, posted the first look from his upcoming war thriller Border 2 on social media. The actor informed of the progress of his much-awaited action drama. He shared a picture of himself wearing an Army uniform. Border 2 is directed by Anurag Singh, featuring Sunny Deol in the main lead. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta. The war thriller is presented under the banner of Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in collaboration with J.P. Films. The film features a star-studded cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Varun Dhawan, and Sunny Deol.
Sunny Deol's Border 2 first look
Sunny Deol took to Instagram and shared a powerful image of himself in a fauji uniform. He captioned the picture, Mission accomplished! Fauji, signing off! My shoot wrapped for #Border2. Jai Hind!" From his picture, it is clear that the actor will slay his role as an Army Officer. He backed the picture with the iconic song from Border, Sandese Aate Hain, in the background. Before the song, Sunny Deol is heard saying, "27 years ago, a Fauji promised to return. Today, fulfilling that promise, Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri is back to salute the sacred soil of India."
According to reports. Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty have wrapped up the scheduled shoot of Border 2 in Pune. Ahan took to his Instagram to share a couple of pictures and videos with the cast, featuring Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and director Anurag Singh."Aur kya hai yeh border..? Bas ek fauji aur uske bhai hain." That's a wrap in Pune.. onto the next one," he wrote in the caption. Varun also shared a candid moment with co-star Ahan as they enjoyed the tea. His caption reads, "#Border2 Chai aur bizkoot it's a wrap for me at NDA Aur humna celebrate kiya bizkoot ke saath."
Border 2 is set to release in theaters on January 23, 2026. The war drama revolves around the untold stories of the Indian armed forces that continue to give selfless service to the nation.
