Stand-up comedian Samay Raina, who faced major backlash in February after a controversial comment made on his show India's Got Latent, has now confirmed that Season 2 will return. The controversy erupted when podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia asked a contestant an inappropriate question about "parents' sex," leading to huge criticism and multiple FIRs against Ranveer, Samay, Apoorva Mukhija, and Ashish Chanchlani. Samay later deleted all episodes from YouTube.

Fans Cheer as Samay Hints at the Show's Comeback

Months after the incident, fans continued demanding a second season. Recently during his live performance at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on November 8, 2025, Samay finally addressed it. He told the crowd, "Show toh main wapas launga", which was met with loud cheers and roars.

Samay Raina Issues Apology to People With Disabilities

Samay, who turned 28 on October 26, used his birthday to share a heartfelt apology to people with disabilities. His earlier jokes from India's Got Latent had sparked a petition by the CURE SMA Foundation of India, citing insensitive remarks made by Samay and fellow comedians Vipul Goyal, Balraj Ghai, Sonali Thakkar, and Nishant Tanwar.

'We Deeply Regret the Hurt Caused' Samay's Statement

In his message, Samay wrote that instead of celebrating himself, he wanted to apologise to the disability community for the hurt caused by their jokes. He and the comedians involved promised to be more mindful in the future and to use their platform to spread awareness and understanding.
